i have just come back from stockholm, it was a truly enlightening experience. as my boyfriend put it, we were basically on a wes andreson-esque adventure where i looked for my heroes in hopes of finding meaning in my work.
and you know what? i did! we should have filmed it.

i’m in stockholm!
we walked all over the place, had really nice food and generally had a pretty great time
today’s highlight for me was going to the Tio Gruppen shop in Södermalm
i finally bought the book, gonna read it again to brush up on my facts before meeting
Ingela H. on monday! so excited
also got some mini plastic swatches and a large canvas swatch too

really quite sad but incredibly revealing

they do workshops and performances, mainly concerned with recycling and giving new meanings to textiles, clothing etc
but mainly, its just really really fun!

saw lawrence weiner work yesterday, bought a book

i have yet to understand the process of his work
it is very graphic, he is apparently one of the first artists in the 60’s
to “dematerialize” art and bring it forth to the realm of ideas and language

after 6 grueling days, i finally managed to get the Hellcat model together. it was truly testing. this is not for me. i did not manage to complete the model successfully, i had to tear out 2 parts for the wings to fit in through the fuselage. my hard work was ripped and ruined, but i guess it’s done now. i thought i was a good sport throughout most of the project. i realized this...
